TEHRAN -- Grand Ayatollah Hossein Nouri-Hamedani says that oil money from Saudi Arabia and Qatar goes to terrorist groups.

The reason for that is to create a secure zone for the Zionist regime and Western interests, Nouri-Hamedani said on Wednesday while addressing a group of IRGC officials in Yazd.

He went on to say that the Islamic Republic has become the source of concern for Western powers.

As a result of the empowerment of the Shia and pure Islam, Western powers decided to create the terrorist groups in order to derail the Islamic awakening, he concluded.
